What is the Waiting Period for Lost Wages in Kansas?
The waiting period is 7 days. If the employee is off more than 21 days, the first 7 days are paid retroactively.

What is the Choice of Physician Rules in Kansas?
The employer generally has the right to control medical treatment of the employee. The employee is precluded from choosing his or her own health care provider if the employer provides adequate medial treatment. If the employee seeks medical treatment on his own and without the authorization of the employer, the employer is only liable up to $500.00 for treatment.
