C&F Safe Wheels Program

The Risk Engineering Team at Crum & Forster has created the Safe WheelsSM Discount Program to incentivize and improve roadway safety – from the steering wheel to the wheels on the road and everything in between! To bring Safe Wheels to our insureds, we have partnered with trusted vendor TruckerCloud. Under this exciting Program, participating C&F insureds that share telematics data and, for up to double the discount, dash camera data with us will be eligible for significant reductions of their telematics and/or dash camera vendor expenses!

How does it work?

Option 1 – Telematics Devices (Non-Camera): Through Safe Wheels, Crum & Forster offers a discount of up to $10 per vehicle per month to insureds that share telematics data using approved telematics devices installed in their vehicles.

Option 2 – Integrated Dash Camera Devices: Safe Wheels participants that share dash camera data using approved dash camera devices installed in their vehicles are eligible for a discount of $20 per vehicle per month.

Eligible Devices

  • Safe Wheels is intended to be a “bring your own device” solution, meaning no additional or new hardware to purchase and no new device vendor contracts to sign.
  • Over 40 devices are currently approved for use in Safe Wheels. Please click here for a full list of eligible devices.

What is the benefit for Insureds?

  • Insureds that consent to share their telematics data and sign the terms and conditions of Safe Wheels will receive monthly reports of their telematics scores, claims/loss information, and other industry insights – all while receiving a significant discount on their vendor bills each month!
  • The additional insight and scoring information provided through Safe Wheels is intended to give motor carrier Owners, Safety Directors, and Fleet Managers the insight they need to operate a safe and efficient trucking company.
  • Overall, the Safe Wheels program offers insureds a combination of financial incentives, improved safety, operational efficiency, and ease of implementation, making it an attractive option for those looking to enhance safety management.

ALSO ON OUR RADAR … Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) kicked off the year off with its Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative. The initiative started in the U.S. on January 13 – 17, 2024, and will begin in Canada February 17 – 21, 2025, and in Mexico March 17 – 21, 2025. You can anticipate roadside inspections during these specified times in the respective countries to check for additional passengers.

Studies show that an estimated 40 million men, women and children are held against their will or trafficked into forced labor or prostitution worldwide to the tune of $150 billion annually. CVSA’s Human Trafficking Prevention program seeks to reduce human trafficking throughout North America through coordinated enforcement and investigative and educational awareness measures within the commercial motor vehicle industry. Here is an informational video where you can hear from fellow drivers, representatives from anti-trafficking organizations, a special agent from the FBI and victims of human trafficking.

Did you know there’s a discreet hand gesture someone can give to a friend, family member, member of law enforcement, colleague or stranger to let them know they need help? Watch this video that demonstrates the hand signal and how it may be used. See the image pictured to the right as well.

Join the fight against human trafficking and make a difference today! You can find more information about Truckers Against Trafficking here.
