Employees from C&F’s Morristown office took part in a Community Volunteer Day with Filipino Families & Friends of North Edison (FFFNE), recently. They spent the day at FFFNE’s Pinoy Youth Camp, a summer camp where children immersed themselves in the rich tapestry of Filipino culture. Our volunteers assisted the children in preparing for their annual show and even crafted a vinta, a traditional boat from the Philippine island of Mindanao.
“For 30 years, FFFNE has been introducing children from kindergarten to grade 10 to Philippine culture through song, dance, art, games, and food,” said Flor Yalong. “Thanks to everyone’s combined efforts, the event was executed flawlessly!”
