Martin X. Horsman
Vice President, Underwriting/Construction
Martin Horsman is responsible for management of the Crum & Forster Construction Segment. He has 32 years of insurance industry experience and a proven track record in the building and management of construction units.
Marty is experienced in all Casualty Lines, including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto Liability and Umbrella. Marty has a national accounts background with extensive knowledge of loss sensitive rating plans, large account pricing and handling. He has been focused on the construction segment of the insurance industry for 18 years. He managed the large account construction unit for the northeast region at Maryland Casualty before joining The Hartford. At The Hartford, Marty started up a construction unit, building it to a 50-million-dollar unit, before joining CNA. At CNA, he managed the northeast region for CNA’s construction segment.
Marty has a BA from the University of Connecticut, and an MBA from the University of Hartford, and holds the CPCU, ARM and CRIS professional designations.
