Gary Dubois
President—Crum & Forster Management and Professional Liability Division
President and CEO—Seneca Insurance Group, Inc.
Gary Dubois currently serves a dual role within the Crum & Forster organization. As President of the consolidated Management and Professional Liability Division, he oversees all aspects of these lines. In addition, he is the President and CEO of Crum & Forster’s Seneca Insurance operations.
In October of 2006, Mr. Dubois joined Bermuda-based Ariel Holding, Ltd., and in 2007, he oversaw the acquisition of Valiant Insurance Company (VIC). VIC was brought under the ownership of Valiant Insurance Group, Inc., and a sister company operating in the non-admitted space was founded, Valiant Specialty Insurance Company, Inc. Mr. Dubois served as President and CEO of Valiant Insurance Group, Inc., and over the next three years, Valiant grew into a well regarded specialty lines organization. Its accomplishments were recognized when the organization was successfully sold to First Mercury Financial Corp. Very shortly thereafter, First Mercury was in turn purchased by Fairfax Financial Holdings’ Crum & Forster Group, leading to Mr. Dubois’ current roles within Crum & Forster.
From July 1999 to 2006, Mr. Dubois was employed by LIU and served as Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Specialty Casualty Lines. Prior to that, Mr. Dubois worked for Reliance National and served as Senior Vice President, Assistant Division Head, Financial Markets Division, and Division Head, Integrated Risk Division. Prior to Reliance National, Mr. Dubois was employed by CNA as National Manager, Commercial Business, in the Financial Products Division.
Mr. Dubois holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Judson College.
